Cllr O'Reilly believes that the HSE is a "money draining machine" and morale amongst staff is at an all time low.

Deputy Brendan Smith believes that timely intervention and appropriate supports are essential for children with additional needs.

Cllr Shane P O'Reilly has questioned why the HSE is doing "what it’s meant to."

After meeting with the group, Deputy Smyth said they are "shovel ready" and any further delay would be deeply frustrating.

Three HSE Lactation Specialists are now available in the Cavan/Monaghan area.

The longest wait time in this region is for children's speech and language therapy, which, currently stands at just one week shy of 200 weeks, or eight weeks short of three years. 

The specialist team will include a consultant psychologist, consultant occupational therapist, clinical nurse and admin staff.
