The local councillor raised his concerns following his opposition to the housing of sex offender Simon McGinley by the trust.

Cllr Paddy McDonald is calling on the housing minister to increase the limits to help tackle housing issues in the county.

He also described the tax credit of 500 euro per year for the next two years which renters will receive as a "gesture".
