Housing policies specific to rural areas are being called for to help ease issues in Cavan and Monaghan.
That's according to architect and policy commentator Mel Reynolds after a number of recent reports on vacancy rates and house prices.
He says too much focus is put on issues in urban centres, which have different needs to rural parts of Ireland.
