The Housing Minister says Cavan County Council has done "really well" in
tackling social housing waiting lists.
The county saw a drop of 24 in its waiting list last year but Minister
Darragh O'Brien praised the work done to bring vacant social houses back
into use.
Speaking in Cavan town this week he said 90 properties were brought back
into use last year.
A number of other house building schemes are also expected to further
decrease the waiting list as more homes come into use.
Major projects in Ballyconnell and Ballyhaise are expected to boost the
county's holding.
