House prices in Cavan and Monaghan have risen 10 per cent since this time last year.
A New report from Myhome.ie and Daft.ie shows inflation is down from 13 percent recorded in the second quarter.
The average list price in Cavan was €175,000, up 9.4 per cent.
While in Monaghan, there was a 10 per cent gain bringing prices to 165,000.
The cost of a house is rising faster outside the main cities, with the largest annual hikes in Mayo and Leitrim, which saw prices up over 20 per cent.
