Minister Heather Humphreys said today that the hot school meals programme was her pride and joy while she has been Minister for Social Protection.
In recent months Minister Humphreys announced the further rollout of the Hot School Meals programme which has grown from 30 schools to over 2,000 schools across the country.
The local minister also said she wants to see every primary school child in the country receiving a Hot Meal in 2025. Measures announced in Budget 2025 will now more than likely see that happen.
St Michaels National School in Cootehill has offered students hot meals for over two years, School Principal Marie Berkeley. believes offering hot notorious meals every day to school children will be Minister Heather Humphreys legacy.
