It's hoped Coláiste Dún an Rí in Kingscourt can be given approval for a major new extension.
Since it first opened in 2016 it has seen a significant increase in numbers with over 530 enrolled and over 140 new students expected next September.
The school was built after a decades' long campaign locally as students in the town and its hinterland had to travel for second level education.
However, enrolment has exceeded expectations since 2016 and a lack of classroom capacity is expected to cause issues in coming years.
