Hopes for more bus shelters in Cavan

Of the 55 locations surveyed by Cavan County as possible locations for bus shelters 34 were deemed unsuitable due to lack of physical room.

A motion for Cavan County Council to provide more bus shelters for the county was brought forward by Cllr Áine Smith.  In its response, the council said €500,000 had been allocated by the National Transport Authority for the upgrading of bus shelters in the county.

Currently, according to the council, three shelters are in the design process with the NTA, with hopes for six more by the end of the year.
