The Continuity IRA has claimed it used a hoax device in the Cavan-Fermanagh border to divert Police attention from Enniskillen Police Station.

The dissident republican group claims it fired shots and an improvised explosive device at the PSNI barracks on Sunday.

In a call to the Northern Sound Newsroom using a recognised code word, the group said the action was carried out from across the river in the Fermanagh town on Sunday last.
