A Monaghan nursing home, which saw 22 of its residents die during the pandemic, has been found to have been in compliance with regulations.
HIQA has today published a report into Drumbear Lodge Nursing Home in Monaghan town.
HIQA has found that over half of the nursing home's residents, who had confirmed or suspected cases of Covid-19, died between April and June.
It was one of the worst hit care facilities during the pandemic.
Inspectors carried out an unannounced visit to Drumbear Lodge on June 30th and found it was "compliant" or "substantially compliant" with 13 regulations it inspected.
These included infection control.
40 residents and staff in the nursing home contracted Covid-19, with 22 residents dying.
HIQA today published a number of inspection reports of nursing homes carried out during or after the worst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
