Monaghan Accommodation Service, which provides residential care to adults with low support needs, was found to be compliant or substantially compliant in a recent inspection.
During the announced HIQA inspection on the 12th of August, the inspector found that "residents were being supported to have a good quality of life, with good access to their preferred activities, their families, and their local community".
Overall, it was deemed that "residents received a service that met their needs and reflected changes in needs and circumstances".
However, the centre was found to be only "substantially compliant" regarding "protection against infection".
This was because "the existing arrangements for the storage of mop buckets and mop heads were not appropriate".
The centre found a "designated space in the utility room" for this equipment on the day following the inspection.
