The warm weather is here to stay with highs of up to 21 degrees forecast today. Met Eireann says high pressure is currently dominating the country. People are being urged to look after their skin in the sun. They are also being advised to exercise caution on or near water.
Ciara Gleeson is the Education Development Executive for Water Safety Ireland. Speaking to Northern Sound, she advised people to be "mindful" when visiting local waters this weekend. She is also encouraging local swimmers to not be "complacent" adding that 80 percent of drownings happen to a person, in their own home county.
