The Chief Executive of the Restaurants Association of Ireland has "praised" restaurant and hospitality business owners across Cavan and Monaghan. Adrian Cummins was speaking in relation to the Ulster Regional Final of the Irish Restaurant Awards, which recently took place at the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan.
With over 30 local hospitality businesses awarded at this year's event, Mr Cummins expects "more to come" in terms of success for the Cavan and Monaghan area. Speaking to Northern Sound, Mr Cummins said he has "no doubt" that there will be a "winner or two" from the region who will go on to claim a national title at the All-Ireland Final Awards in May.
He is "hopeful" that a large contingent from the area will attend the awards, and show their support to the local cuisine that is putting Cavan and Monaghan on the map.
