A number of driving offences were detected yesterday by members of the Cavan Roads Policing Unit along with the RSA. Both agencies carried out a number of stops and checked a number of HGVs.
According to local Gardaí, there were a number of defects detected on the N3, Kingscourt and Tullyvin from cut tyres, worn tyres, suspension defects, cracked brake disks and cracked wheels. All lorries were grounded from driving on the public road until defects rectified.
