Health service providers across the region are to share in a €100 million emergency PPE fund.
To assist the HSE in the purchasing personal protection equipment, the European Regional Development Fund Programme in Ireland responded to the pandemic by establishing a Health Support Scheme.
It aims to help the national health service secure continued access and supply of PPE.
The fund is being distributed by the Northern and Western Regional Assembly, with €100 million of the €286 million total being shared counties including Cavan and Monaghan.
The remainder will be given to midlands, eastern and southern counties.
