The Health Minister has praised communities along the border for how they have dealt with "high" covid pressures in the region.
Stephen Donnelly said it is "simply a fact" that rates have "been consistently higher" in border counties and said movement across the border contributed to this.
However, speaking during a recent visit to the Cavan Covid Vaccination Clinic in the Hotel Kilmore, Minister Donnelly pointed out that counties like Kerry and Waterford are now the ones exhibiting "concerning" rises in case numbers.
