Health and safety works at the site of an unfinished housing estate in Carrickmacross are set to start this week.
At a recent Carrickmacross-Castleblayney MD meeting, Colm Carthy passed a motion calling for a meeting with Tuath Housing to discuss "perceived delays on construction" to the estate on the Ardee Road, close to the Carrickmacross Library.
Councillor Carthy told the meeting that the "unfinished estate remains an eyesore".
He added that it "also offers an opportunity to provide much needed housing to the area and we need to see it progress".
District Engineer Matthew Lambe said meeting have been held with Tuath Housing and he added that heath and safety works to the hoarding around the site are to commence this week.
