A new state-of-the-art educational facility at the former army barracks in Cavan has been given the green light.
The new facility has been approved by the Minister of Higher Education, Simon Harris, ahead of his visit to the Cavan Institute this morning.
It will be based at the former army barracks on the Dublin Road and comprise of classrooms and practical rooms for students, as well as a canteen, sports facilities, and office space.
In March of 2012, the CMETB acquired the former Dún Uí Neill Army Barracks with a view to creating a FET Campus.
