Approval has been granted for a new age friendly residential development in Cavan.
GSL Residential Bridge Street Limited applied to Cavan County Council for major works to a number of existing buildings on Bridge Street in Cootehill. The application included renovation and upgrades to 35 Bridge Street, the demolition of the end terrace at number 37 to facilitate vehicle access, and connection to numbers 41, 43 and 45.
The total development would consist of 18 new units comprising of 3 one bedroom terraced houses, 3 two bedroom terraced houses, and 12 two bed single storey dwellings. According to files submitted with the application, the justification for the development is an identified need for town centre residential units suitable for Age-Friendly accommodation.
Cavan County Planners approved the application subject to 30 conditions
