Green light for Loch Gowna community centre

A new community centre has been given the greenlight in Cavan.

Gowna Housing Association applied to Cavan County Council for the change of use of the old schoolhouse in Loch Gowna into a new community facility.

Works will include the construction of a fully-serviced, two-storey extension to the rear, connection to the public sewer, and parking facilities. County planners granted the application with eight conditions attached, with one being that activities in the community facility only occur between the hours of 9am and 10pm.
