The government is coming under pressure to introduce mortgage interest relief after the European Central Bank increased interest rates by a quarter of one per cent.
It's the seventh time they have gone up since July last year. The Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said mortgage interest relief will be considered as part of Budget 2024.
