Sinn Fein's Matt Carthy has criticised the Government's decision to not hold a debate CAP talks.
Discussions at an EU level ended last week without agreement, with the Minister for Agriculture being accused of working against smaller family farms to serve larger operators.
The Cavan-Monaghan TD called on the Taoiseach to have a Dail debate on Ireland's position in the talks immediately, and for Minister McConalogue to address TDs himself.
Taoiseach Micheal Martin rejected the Sinn Fein's Agriculture Spokesperson's claims of the Minister's motives and said there will be time made for a debate.
