Irish golfer Shane Lowry says his sponsorship with construction firm Kingspan is now over.
The Cavan based company was named in the Grenfell Tower inquiry final report where authors accused the group of "dishonest strategies" in relation to its insulation.
Following its publication, Kingspan acknowledged the "wholly unacceptable historical failings that occurred in part of our UK insulation business."
The Offaly golfer has been sponsored by Kingspan since May 2017, one month before the disaster in which 72 people died. In a statement, Lowry says both sides have "mutually agreed to discontinue our sponsorship relationship" which they believe is the "right decision for all concerned".
