In an announcement earlier today, Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc confirmed that further drilling along the Longford - Down Massif has yielded positive results for gold. The find was discovered at Clay Lake on the Armagh Monaghan border.
The company also revealed a gold intersection extending for 40.5m on the Derryhennet section of the Clay Lake in Co Armagh. Speaking to Northern Sound, Professor Richard Conroy, chairman of Conroy Gold said it will take time to move the project forward.
He added that the rock in Armagh and Monaghan that contains the gold needs to be processed before the precious element can be retrieved. "There seems to be one trend running from Keady to Clontibret and on across into Cavan," Professor Conroy said.
