Planning permission for an expansion of a meat processing facility in Clones has been granted.
The decision was published by Monaghan County Council in recent days. The application by Fayman Europe Limited called for the extension and alteration of the existing meat processing and packaging facility located in Largy, Clones.
This would include the provision of a loading bay and associated parking area as well as alterations to the existing building and provision of a parking and turning areas.
Also included is a new cold store area complete with parking and loading bay and the construction of a new retaining wall, foul, storm and water infrastructure. The application was subject to a submission which expressed concerns about the environmental impact the work would have on the area. County Planners ultimately granted permission despite this with 5 conditions attached.
