A delegation from the Glaslough Tidy Towns group and Monaghan County Council will travel to Canada next month to represent Ireland in the world communities in bloom competition.
The program consists of communities receiving information and being evaluated by an international jury on the accomplishments of their entire community
Members of the Glaslough Tidy Towns group are no strangers to success, with the local group claiming the top Tidy Town prize at county level for 14 years in a row, not to mention national glory.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Louise Duffy who is part of the local group believes the event will be a "great opportunity" to put County Monaghan and the village of Glaslough on the global stage:
