A Glaslough musician and songwriter will join the line-up for Andrea Bocelli’s 30th anniversary. The milestone event will take place in Hyde Park this Friday and will see local man Jamie Duffy perform alongside Hans Zimmer, Zucchero, Katherine Jenkins and more. The 22-year-old who released his latest track 'Torus' last week will also go on his first Irish headline tour in September. In relation to his latest track, Jamie said he drew inspiration from the cyclical swimming patterns of basking sharks. The talented Glaslough native went on to "transform" this imagery into a profound metaphor for life and relationships.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan Show the talented Glaslough native said he is still in a state of "disbelief" over performing with Andrea Bocelli on stage later this week. "I'm still pinching myself as we speak," he explained. "I'm speechless over the whole thing. There's a good bunch of us going from Glaslough and we're flying out to London on Thursday so hopefully it will be as magical as I think it will be."
