Gardaí are warning drivers to take care in Carrickmacross due to ongoing major roadworks in the town.
The County Council is resurfacing the Main Street in the town over the coming weeks.
Works are being carried out at night but Gardaí have warned the road surface has been removed in parts and some manholes are sticking out of the ground as a result.

Temporary road surfaces are also in place in some parts.
Gardaí are urging people to take care if travelling through the town.
