Gardaí issue multiple fines following speed checkpoint on the N3 in Cavan

Despite wet and windy weather conditions yesterday morning, the Cavan Roads Policing Unit were on the N3 to conduct a speed checkpoint.

As a result, one motorist was detected travelling at 128kph in a 100kph zone.

A number of other detections were also made including one in Ballyjamesduff of 92kph in a 50 zone.

Fixed Charged Notices were issued to these drivers.
