A spate of burglaries have taken place across Co Monaghan, according to Gardaí.
Local Gardaí are looking for further information in relation to a total of seven separate burglaries which were reported last month in December, and one which occurred on Friday the 6th of January in Castleblayney.
A burglary took place on the afternoon of Friday the 2nd of December at around 3pm in the Aughnaceeda area.
According to Gardaí a home was forcibly entered and a number of items were stolen.
In Castleblayney a home was burgled during the evening of Friday the 9th of December between 7.30 and 8.30pm.
The home was occupied at the time of the burglary and those involved are believed to have left the scene by car.
In Ballybay a home was burgled on Tuesday the 13th of December. This burglary took place during the afternoon in the Knocknamaddy area of Ballybay.
A number of items where stolen.
Elsewhere, a burglary also took place on the 13th of December in the Annaglave area of Castleblayney, a home was forcibly entered between 5.30 and 10pm.
Moving to the Dunraymond area of Monaghan, a burglary took place during the night of Friday the 16th of December.
An unoccupied home was entered and several items stolen.
In Doohamlet, Castleblayney - a burglary took place between 7 and 9pm on Friday the 16th of December. A number of items were stolen and Garda are investigating.
Finally, Gardai at Castleblayney are investigating a burglary at a residence in Annaglave. The incident took place on Friday the 6th of January between 5pm and 7pm. A quantity of jewellery was taken during the burglary.
In relation to all the above crimes, Gardaí are asking anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious to contact them.
