Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a large fire at a suspected fuel laundering site in Co Monaghan over the weekend.
The incident occurred in an agriculture premises in Castleshane at around 11pm on Saturday, August 21st.
In a statement to Northern Sound, a spokesperson from the Revenue Commissioners confirmed that the "Customs Service attended the scene".
The spokesperson said "plant and machinery, suspected of use in an oil laundering operation, was subsequently removed from the scene by the Revenue officers".
No injuries were reported and gardaí say investigations are on-going.
Monaghan Fire & Civil Protection described the incident as a "large fire in an agriculture area".
It said appliances from Monaghan and Ballybay attended, and after successfully battling the fire, they handed over the scene to gardaí.
