Gardai investigating "all the circumstances" of Blacklion skeletal remains discovery

A area within Loughan House near Blacklion remains sealed off this lunchtime following the discovery of skeletal remains.

The discovery was made at approximately 4.30pm yesterday afternoon. Gardaí say they are investigating "all the circumstances" following the discovery at a building site at the open prison.

Gardai say the Coroner’s Office has been notified and investigations are ongoing.

The scene is currently preserved with a forensic and technical examination underway. The forensic analysis will determine the course of the investigation.
