Gardaí in Cavan and Monaghan are urging motorcyclists to take extra care this weekend.
There have been 74 fatalities on Irish roads so far this year, which puts 2022 on course to be the worst year for road deaths in a decade.
There's been a marked increase in motorcycle fatalities, and they make up a disproportionate number of all road deaths.

Gardaí will be out in force this long weekend to ensure people obey the rules of the road.
