Gardaí in Co Cavan are investigating a number of break-ins which took place across the region over the last month. As part of investigations, local Gardaí are appealing to members of the public who may have information or noticed anything suspicious to come forward. Gardaí in Bailieborough are investigating a burglary that occurred on the 3rd November between the hours of 7pm and 11pm in the Swiftbrook Glen Estate in Virginia.
A rear patio door was smashed to gain entry and a significant quantity of jewellery was taken. Gardaí are appealing to anyone in the local area who noticed any strange activity or pawn shop jewellers who may have been approached to value items to please get in touch. Elsewhere in Virginia, Gardaí are investigating the theft of a tools from a van in Deerpark. According to Gardaí, an SDS red and grey coloured drill, an impact driver and impact gun, both red in colour, a four inch grinder and a reciprocating saw all of Milwaukee brand were stolen. This occurred between the hours of 7.30pm on the 27th of November until 9.30pm on the 29th of November.
Also in Virginia, a second vehicle was broken into on the night of the 27th November into the 28th. In this instance, a back pack containing a laptop, power bank and air pods were stolen. Gardaí are anxious to hear from anyone who noticed anything suspicious in and around the Deerpark or Swiftbrook Glen areas to get in touch. Finally, Gardaí in Cavan are investigating a burglary which took place on the 29th of November between the hours of 8am and 8pm at Marahill, Crossdoney. According to Gardaí, the homeowners returned to find the home broken into and a bedroom ransacked. Also taken in this burglary was a quantity of jewellery and a sum of cash.
