Gardai across Cavan are appealing to the public for help following a spate of criminal incidents over the past few weeks. In Ballinagh, two chainsaws were stolen from a yard in Dillagh on the 7th of October last.
Over in Kingscourt, a copper tank and copper piping were taken from a property in the Cornakill area on dates between the 13th and 14th of October. In Crossdoney, a premises was broken into on the 16th and 17th of October last between the hours of 5pm and 5am.
The locks on the gates were damaged, security cameras were tampered with, and a large quantity of copper was stolen. Meanwhile, Gardai in Bailieborough are investigating the thefts of number plates from vehicles on Chrurch Street and Cavan Road in Cootehill and from Main Street Shercock.
They say the incidents occurred between 7pm and 8am on the 28th and 29th of October last. Gardai have also issued advice to those with firearms regarding the upcoming renewal of licences.
