Gardaí in Cavan are investigating a burglary at a property in Cootehill, where a rear window was broken to gain entry.
The culprits were unsuccessful of gaining any valuables within the property.
Elsewhere, Gardaí are also continuing to investigate a burglary in the Cormeen area of Ballyconnell which occurred between 16th and 17th of December.
During the course of this burglary entry was gained via a rear window which was first opened.
The culprits removed a large amount of musical instruments from the property.
If you can shed any light on the whereabouts of these items, or indeed recall any suspicious activity around the Cormeen/Ballyconnell area on the 16 or 17th December and the days also leading up to that, Gardaí would like to hear from you.
In relation to the burglaries, Gardaí in Cavan are also encouraging people to continue to "light up and lock up."
In a statement issued to Northern Sound, a spokesperson from Cavan Gardaí said, "If you are leaving your house, leave a light on and lock all the doors and windows.
"If you are going away for a numbers of days, please notify a trusted person and have them conduct checks at various times on the property for the days you are not there."
