Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry after three burglaries in a Monaghan town housing estate last weekend.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, three houses in the Cathedral Walk area were broken into, with a Playstation 4 and Rockrider bicycle among the items taken.
Damage was also caused to the window of a parked car, which is being treated as criminal damage.
Yesterday, Inspector Graham Tolan of Monaghan Garda Station made a witness appeal for anyone who was in the area between midnight and 6am on Saturday, or has information on the burglaries, to contact them.
This morning, Gardai confirmed to Shannonside Northern Sound that they are following a definite line of enquiry as part of investigations.
