Monaghan Garda Station have said there is an incident on the N12 Monaghan to Armagh Road.
As a result the road is closed in both directions.
Diversions are being put in place. Gardai have confirmed to Northern Sound News that they are currently at the scene and the road is expected to remain closed for most of the day.

The Monaghan to Armagh Road(N12) at Knockaconny is currently closed due to a traffic collision. Emergency services are at the scene and diversions are in place. Gardai have asked motorists to avoid the area if possible.
