Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision in Carrickmacross yesterday.
The two vehicle collision occurred shortly before 3pm yesterday afternoon on the N2 at Annamarran near Carrickmacross.
A female driver in her 30s and a passenger a 7 year old girl were taken from the scene by Ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. The driver of the second vehicle, a woman in her late 50s was air lifted to Tallaght Hospital in Dublin.
The crash site was examined by Garda forensic collision investigators and the road has since reopened to traffic. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward.
Any road users who were travelling on the N2 south of Carrickmacross at the time of the collision who may have camera footage (including dash cam) is asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí at Carrickmacross Garda Station on 042-9690190.
