Gardaí are continuing to appeal for information following a fatal crash in Monaghan town.
Yesterday morning, at around 7.20, Gardaí received reports that a tanker lorry veered off the road and collided with a roadside ditch at Knockaconny on the Monaghan-Armagh road.
The driver of the truck, aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to the mortuary at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where a post-mortem is being carried out.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or was travelling on the N12 road to at Knockaconny to come forward.
They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who has dash-cam footage from yesterday morning.
