A member of Monaghan Gardai is recovering following an assault that occurred last month in the town.
In the early hours of Thursday 23rd March, a male Garda member was assaulted while responding to a call in Monaghan town.
The Garda member received facial injuries during the course of this incident.

Gardai have confirmed to Northern Sound News that he is still receiving medical treatment and has not returned to duty at this time.
A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and was taken to a Garda station in Monaghan.
He has since been charged and has appeared before the courts in recent days.
