Funeral arrangements for the late Mary Kerr-Conlon have been announced.
The former county councillor from Highfield, Carrickmacross, was a member of the Fine Gael party for almost 50 years before she retired in 2022.
Tributes have been pouring in since Mary Kerr-Conlon's passing, with Minister Heather Humphreys describing the late councillor as a "trailblazer" for women in politics, particularly across Co. Monaghan.
Mary Kerr-Conlon will repose at Lonergan Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, today and tomorrow from four o'clock until eight o'clock.
Funeral cortege will leave her home, Highfield, on Monday morning, driving to the Convent Hill and from there proceeding on foot to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for funeral mass at eleven o'clock.
Burial afterwards in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Donations, if desired, to Carrickmacross Alzheimer Society, care of Lonergan Funeral Directors or via donation box.
