The funeral arrangements for the three teenagers who died in a crash in Galway over the weekend have been announced.
16-year-old John Keenan, 17-year-old Wojcieck (pron: woy-check) Panek, and 19-year-old Christy Stokes died after their car entered the River Corrib at Menlo Pier in the early hours of Saturday morning. The funeral details for the three young victims have been released, three days on from the tragedy on the outskirts of Galway city.
Funeral masses for John Keenan and Christy Stokes, both from the Headford Road in Galway, will be held in the nearby Church of the Resurrection in Ballinfoyle - at 11 o'clock tomorrow for 16 year old John, and 12 o'clock on Thursday for 19 year old Christy. Both will be laid to rest at Rahoon Cemetery. The ashes of 17 year old Wojcieck Panek will be intered in Calvary Cemetery in Graiguenamanagh, County Kilkenny at 2 o'clock on Friday.
