Monaghan's PTSB Branch is today holding a fundraising initiative for two charities. A charity spin is taking place in Monaghan Shopping Centre between 10am and 4pm today. The fundraising initiative is in support of the Aisling Murphy Memorial Fund and Cancer Care West.
Two spinning bikes were donated by the Hillgrove Hotel with members of Monaghan's PTSB branch taking part as well as some members of Monaghan GAA. Edwina McKenna is the Branch Manager of Permanent TSB in Monaghan Town. Speaking to Northern Sound, Edwina has encouraged locals to come out and show their support adding that "every penny counts."
