A fundraiser to remember the late Mickey Armstrong and to the support the important work of Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care will take place today in Clones.
Mickey was a much loved and valued member of his community.
He ran Packie Willie's pub in Clones for a number of years and was described by his sister Dierdre Kelly on Northern Sound this week as "a great character".
Mickey died on the 8th of December last following a bleed on the brain.
Deirdre says that it was the support of the palliative care team that enabled Mickey's family to spend two precious and final days with her brother.
