The school have set a fundraising target of €20,000 to bring the project to life, and Ice Cream Treats are fully committed in helping them reach their goal.

The pair are undertaking the challenge to raise funds for St Christopher’s Hospice serving Cavan and Monaghan.

The event will take place in Drumhowan Centre on Monday.

Sylvia paid tribute to the overwhelming amount of support that this fundraiser has already received with locals going "above and beyond" for The Holy Family School in Cootehill.

Colm's fundraiser has raised €3,180 to date for Turn2Me.

Fr Joe McGrath and Aidy's family are to host an all-day coffee morning at Aidy's home in Kilcogy in memory of him and in aid of the new webcam service. 

The Sunflower field which was located in Castleshane in Co Monaghan was in full bloom for a number of weeks last month.

Killeevan National School has been at the heart of the local community since 1974.
