Funding of €15,000 has been announced for the Tearmann Domestic Violence Services which provides supports to victims of domestic abuse in Cavan and Monaghan.
Nationwide, funding of €445,000 will go to 18 organisations to mark International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Today also marks the start of the UN's 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence, which ends on Human Rights Day on the 10th of December.
