Funding of close to €17million euro has been allocated by the HSE for Home Support services in Cavan/Monaghan.
It's part of a €66 million euro spend in the local Community Healthcare area for the scheme that supports older people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible and to support informal carers.
The funding will provide more than 2.3 million Home Support Hours across counties Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Leitrim, and Sligo.

Frank Morrison, Head of Service for Older Persons in the local Community Healthcare area, says the €16.8 million spend for Cavan and Monaghan will benefit 1,245 people.
