Close to €100,000 in capital grant funding has been announced for youth projects and services across the Shannonside Northern Sound region.
The funding announced by the Minister for Children, Disability, Equality and Integration, Roderic O'Gorman today, is part of €2.32 million announced for youth organisations across the country.
These grants are to help local youth services buy and replace essential equipment and to enhance online communication models for national youth organisations.
In Cavan and Monaghan, Include Youth Service was the main beneficiary, receiving €12,250, Bounce Back West Cavan was allocated €4,637, Youth Work Ireland Cavan Monaghan got €1,962 and and Bounce Back South East Cavan €1,149.
Roscommon Youth Service is the single organisation locally that benefited the most - it has been allocated €26,149.
Elsewhere, Longford Town Youth Projects is receiving €13,678 while Mullingar and Athlone Youth Projects was allocated €11,426 and ACT Gateway Athlone was granted €1,611.
Finally, in Leitrim, the Mohill Community Youth Project was allocated €5,432; and the Leitrim Youth Project was granted €3,352 and the Sligo Leitrim Home Youth Liaison group was given €12,559.
