The Ireland Funds has awarded €5,000 to the Teach Oscail Resource Project through its Heart of the Community Fund. Each year the service provides critical funding to a wide range of community organisations and charities on the island of Ireland.
The Teach Oscail Resource Project provides professional and confidential family and community support services to families, children and young people in Cavan. Martina Greenan, Community Aftercare Worker with the Centre, said that it provides supports to individuals and families in Cavan through various supports, services, programmes, events and interventions.
She added that the centre prides itself on its open, inclusive, welcoming and creative approach in helping its community. Meanwhile, the funding from the Ireland Funds will help cover Teach Oilscoil's running costs to ensure it can continue to support the community in whatever it may need.
